Are you alive today? If you are reading this article right now, congratulations, you have survived another year! Welcome to a new physical year that is called 2025! It is good to be alive! Our spiritual theme at Englewood this year is “Being Alive”!
What does it mean to “be alive” in 2025? The Apostle Paul explains what it means to be alive in Christ in the letters he sent while in chains for Christ: He wrote a letter to Philippi, Colossae, Philemon, and Ephesus. He writes, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST…” (Ephesians 2:4-5a). Notice: We are ALIVE together with Christ Jesus by God’s rich mercy and His great love with which He loved us. We are Alive together with Christ Jesus by the surpassing riches of God’s grace in kindness toward us! This blessing should remind us by faith in Christ we can “Be Alive” together with Christ throughout 2025!
Are you up for the challenge? May we humbly walk together with our Lord this year and be spiritually alive in Him!
